We brought our puppy home on June 3, 1999. Other than a little bit of sleep deprivation (not something we're used to), everything is going very well.
How did she get her name? As some of you know, the theme of her litter is musicals. During her first couple of days with us, she serenaded us with great gusto whenever we put her in her crate. The first time our friend Wendy heard this "song," she said, "With those lungs, she really needs an operatic name!" For some reason, The Three Penny Opera immediately popped into my head, and so Penny, the Golden Retriever, was named!
